As a CT family and newborn photographer, I’ve had the privilege of capturing countless precious moments for families. There’s one thing I hear often from new parents: “I wish we had started sooner.” The pressure to document every milestone from day one can feel overwhelming, but I’m here to tell you—it’s never too late to start documenting your baby’s journey.
Let me say that again…it is NEVER too late to document your baby.
Embrace the Milestones- Beyond the Newborn Phase!
Every stage of your baby’s growth is unique and beautiful. From the first smiles and babbling to the tentative first steps, each moment is a milestone worth capturing. Even if you didn’t starta newborn photo session, there’s so much joy and wonder in documenting the stages that follow.
This sweet girls mom and dad came to us when she was around 11 weeks, realizing how much they just wanted to freeze time. We ended up photographing her around 4 months, 8 months, and 1 year. So for her, that looked like documenting tummy time, sitting, and standing!
Remember, photographs are not just for today—they’re for the future. Your child will grow up, and having a documented journey of their early years will be a priceless gift. So while we may not be able to freeze time itself, we can preserve memories and details that you’ll want to remember…like these!
Ready to Document Your Baby?
It’s never too late to start documenting your baby’s journey. Each moment is a piece of your baby’s story. As a photographer, my advice is to start today and try not to overthink (or stress) it.
It’s why I do what I do and have created the KWP portrait experience. From professional hair and makeup and personally styled wardrobe, to creating your heirloom baby book and installing a custom designed gallery wall in your home.
Celebrate the present, embrace every stage, and create lasting memories that you and your child will cherish forever!
