There’s nothing quite like opening my email to read an inquiry from a new mom looking for a newborn baby photographer in Fairfield County, CT and she shares with me that she just found out she was pregnant. I think social media definitely makes it easier for us to share how important documenting these memories are. But, to see that play out in reality where so many new parents realize that too, and to a point where they contact me almost right away, is truly humbling.
Liam’s Newborn Session
With so much notice comes much anticipation! I feel like I had been waiting months to meet baby Schenk. Of course, he was well worth the wait, and I may be a little biased towards him since he shares a name with my not-so-little guy!
This sweet boy is so handsome, and I cannot get over his strawberry blonde hair and expressions. Oh my goodness did he have the best expressions! He was wide awake to start and then quickly fell asleep with his arms up by his face. Too cute!
Hair and Makeup + Wardrobe
After Mom was done getting pampered by Kim, we went into the wardrobe room for her to choose a dress. This part was quite easy for her because she already had a dress in mind she was interested in wearing. It’s one of my favorites and certainly a client favorite as well.
Our wardrobe room has over 250 dresses and I know that can feel a little overwhelming. However, we have a process for ensuring this part of your experience is just as stress-free as the rest. In fact, it’s the reason we offer wardrobe. Other than pants for Dad, there’s no reason for you to spend hours shopping for clothes. We have something for the entire family.
Prior to your session, we’ll send over a styling questionnaire and depending on your session, you may even come in ahead of time for a personalized styling appointment. Instagram and the blog are also great places to look for inspiration and see how the dresses photograph.
Once everyone was ready, it was time for family photos. Sweet Liam will be back in the studio soon for his sitter session, and I cannot wait to see how much he has grown!
