I cannot believe it’s already time to look back on this baby boy’s first year! It seems like it was just yesterday that he was a tiny little newborn visiting me in the studio for the first time. We did all three of his first year collective sessions in the studio, and I love being able to look at them side by side to see just how much he has changed and grown!
Cedric is curious (note his wide-awake photos during his newborn session!), has the best hair, and loves his Mama and Daddy. His eyes and smile will melt your heart into a puddle too if you aren’t careful!

Cedric’s Six Month Sitter Session
It’s no secret that I absolutely LOVE the six month sitter sessions I get to photograph in my studio in Westport. This age is just so much fun and getting to document your baby’s budding personality so you can remember it forever brings me a lot of joy. I would give just about anything to be able to go back and have those moments of my babies…especially more of me with them.
For Cedrics sitter session, we started out with photos of just him where he was a total ham! Then it was time for family portraits and full of cuddles, laughter and playing airplane with Dad!
Celebrating Cedric’s First Birthday!
And just like that, he’s ONE! The days feel so long that first year, but somehow the year goes by too fast. Your little baby that once depended on you to simply hold his head up is now trying to climb ladders. But, as big as they seem, they still need you and always will.
Cedric wasn’t so sure about photos, but he loved holding on to Mom and Dad’s hands which made for some of my favorite photos of him from this session. He loved playing with the little wood truck and blocks we keep here in the studio for little ones. We even got a few smiles out of him!
Both Mom and Cedric are wearing pieces from the client wardrobe. We’ve been able to coordinate their outfits for all three sessions so that everything looks cohesive in his first year album and gallery wall.
I’m already looking forward to their family session this fall. I cannot wait to see how much Cedric grows- I have a feeling he’ll be running circles around me by then!
