Newborn Photography Education
I have invested thousands of dollars into education and training, and I have spent hundreds of hours with newborn babies. I know babies. I know when they are hungry, when they are about to smile, how to make them sleep, and how to handle them safely. I know how to position your baby so that they look perfect in your arms and we get their precious face showing for the camera to capture. I’ve got a workflow down pat that makes the session flow seamlessly and calmly for tired new parents (well…until you throw a toddler in the mix!). I’ve learned what clients love the most in their images and now curate a gallery of images where every image is cherished.
Experience Over Time
When I first started in newborn photography- I didn’t know ANY of that. It’s taken years of experience and training to gain the confidence I have today. I look back at photos where you couldn’t even see the baby’s face and want to hide in a corner. And now….my clients often refer to me as the “baby whisperer.”
Parents have left their session thanking me not only for beautiful photos but for teaching them a swaddling technique or way to soothe their baby. To me, this is just as important as being able to create beautiful photos. You can never get these days with your tiny newborn back and should be confident that you are entrusting him/her with an experienced newborn photographer!
What You Can Expect
When you can do that, you are able to relax and together we can create the most beautiful memories. While you may be getting less sleep than ever, these truly are the best days. They will go by too fast, but because of photography and our heirloom products, you can hold onto them forever.
