Newborn Studio in Connecticut | Darien, CT

This handsome little guy and his parents came to my newborn studio in Connecticut from New York City. Hal is just one of many babies born during the pandemic that I have had the honor of photographing. I cannot tell you how much joy it brings me to be able to provide these families with a some sense of normalcy and celebrate their new baby.

During Hal’s newborn session, Mom and Dad were able to share with me what it’s been like living through a pandemic in New York City while preparing for the arrival of their first baby. I am truly amazed by their strength and ability to see the good despite how hard it’s been.

I have heard many times now, “I’m getting time with my baby that I wouldn’t have otherwise.” And yes, it’s come at a HIGH cost, but what a blessing to have to focus on amidst all of the heartache.

Once at my studio in Darien, Mom was able to relax and be pampered by my amazing hair and makeup artist, Angelina (BeautyMarked Studio) while I started with photos of Hal. He gave me a smile right off the bat, and I knew we were going to be good friends!

Mom wore one of my absolute favorite dresses from the client wardrobe. It’s a blue floral dress that is perfect for everyone – whether you are pregnant, postpartum or chasing toddlers. I love it for both studio and outdoor sessions.
