Oh my heart. This session was such a special one. I absolutely adored this family. The traveled to me in Fairfield County from northeast Connecticut, and I was so honored they chose me to document their family.
Mom, Keri, is absolutely beautiful. As soon as she walked in the door I knew this was going to be an amazing session. She got to relax while my makeup artist, Angelina, gave her that “new mom glow” and I took baby Robert for his individual portraits. Mom then selected wardrobe for herself and her daughter, Riley.
Riley was so much fun! We were fast friends and she really enjoyed my singing (bless her). She is a big Sound of Music fan, and I pulled out all the stops with my special rendition of “Lonely Goatherd” LOL! Trust me, you don’t want to request this at your session! Needless to say, there was lots of laughter during their session.
I work with a lot of young toddlers. Sometimes I see the parents getting stressed because their toddler isn’t sitting perfectly still and taking all the directions. I try to remind them that they are doing amazing. I don’t want your toddler to sit perfectly still anyway! I love those real, raw moments- that is where the magic lives. I want to capture you kids as they are. That said, I have lots of tricks to get those toddlers who don’t want to participate at all, to engage with us and get some precious shots of your family!
As you can see, we definitely had an amazing session and I hope my clients will treasure these images!
