There’s something so special about photographing a growing family- especially one I’ve had the joy of documenting over the years. I first met this sweet family when their daughter was just a baby. Watching her step into her new role as big sister during this newborn session with twin boys in my Westport, CT studio was truly heartwarming.
Big sister was absolutely glowing with pride as she snuggled up next to her brand-new baby brothers in the studio. It’s always my goal to create space for natural, loving connection during our sessions, and this family made that so easy. The way mom and dad looked at their three little ones- tired, maybe, but full of love, was so beautiful to capture.
Photographing Twin Newborns
Photographing twin newborns is such a gift. There’s something magical about the way they instinctively curl into each other, and I always aim to preserve that closeness in a gentle, timeless way. In this session, we kept the styling soft and classic—neutral tones, cozy textures, and a focus on the connection between each family member.
And there’s truly nothing like those early days when your babies are so small they fit perfectly in your arms or curled up on your chest. That fleeting newborn stage passes so quickly, which is why these images become such treasured keepsakes. The last photo of Mom and Dad may be one of my favorites to date! Spoiler…they also decided to print it for their home too!
