It’s not uncommon for parents to wonder how their newborn session with a toddler will go. I get it, toddlers are unpredictable as is and then you add in a new baby and photos and it feels like a lot. It is. BUT…it’s also SO magical and worth every bit of the “chaos” that comes along with it. My goal is to help you embrace that chaos and focus on what’s right in front of you….your babies!
Not to mention, your toddler may surprise you and channel all of that energy into something really special.
To start off this sweet girl’s newborn session, she and Mom came to the studio alone first. While Mom was relaxing and getting her hair and makeup done by our professional artist, we took baby girl’s solo portraits. She was wide awake and didn’t want to miss a thing! We took some portraits of her stretched out, swaddled and of course, had to try a few different bows. Isn’t she sooo beautiful?!
About an hour into their session, Dad and big brother joined us in the studio, and I am not sure I’ve ever seen a big brother more excited. He’s already grown so much since I saw them for their family maternity session at Sherwood Island. After a quick look around the studio and a change of clothes into an outfit from the Client Wardrobe Collection, we got started with sibling and family photos. There were endless amounts of kisses, snuggles and so much laughter.
I cannot wait to watch this sweet girl and her big brother grow over the next year. I have a feeling the two of them are going to create some pretty special memories, and it’s an honor to get to document it for them!
