This baby boys studio newborn session in Darien was so bittersweet….it was the last session in my first studio. If you would have asked me just two years ago today what my business would have looked like, I could have only dreamt of what has become my reality. And that’s because of you…each of you. I say it often, but not only do I have the best job in the world, but I get to serve the absolute best people.
Little Hudson was wide awake for almost the entire session. I didn’t think about it then, but maybe he knew that he needed to take it all in with me. When I first started in newborn photography, the idea of a wide-awake baby would stress me out. However, I quickly learned that my clients LOVE photos with their baby’s eyes open and unless they are just really fussy, it’s never really an issue! In fact, I love a good mix of wide-awake and sleepy baby photos.
We started with Hudson’s solo newborn portraits while Mama had her hair and makeup done by Aliza. He wasn’t so sure about being swaddled and quickly broke out his little arms and legs. Between his tiny little toes and adorable forehead wrinkles, I could have photographed him all day long!
Once Mom was done getting pampered, she picked out a beautiful white dress and we got started with their family portraits. These are my absolute favorite family portraits to take. Whether it’s your first baby or you are adding another little bundle, these are often your first family photos with your new family dynamic and. that’s really special.
I’m so thankful that so many families here in Fairfield County, CT choose me as their newborn photographer. And to each family that has come to my studio here in Darien, thank you. It’s been an honor to photograph your babies and milestones. I cannot wait to share more with you about the new studio in Westport!
