Some days I still feel as if this is all a dream. But, the truth is, a lot of hard work is how I got here- to a commercial newborn studio in CT that allows me to serve families just like this one!
Having a newborn studio not only allows me to photograph your baby, but it allows me to serve you in a way that is needed in these early baby days. That includes everything from preparing you for what to expect, hair and makeup for Mom, styling for the entire family, and then helping you decide what to do with your images after your newborn session.
My youngest just turned six, but I am not so far removed from those newborn days that I have forgotten what it’s like. It’s the greatest mix of bliss and exhaustion. So, in a lot of ways, it feels like taking care of all of those little details is the least I can do for another Mama. I would have given anything to know that these things could be taken care of for me and maybe then, I would have photos with me in them.
Brooks’ Newborn Session
Meghan and Nicolo recently moved to Darien and soon after, welcomed their baby boy, Brooks. He is the sweetest baby and has the most amazing Mom and Dad! The way they looked at each other and at their son was enough to make me tear up a time or two. There really is nothing like experiencing being parents for the first time and these two are certainly soaking it all up!
To start, Meghan had her hair and makeup done by Angelina with BeautyMarked Studio and then picked out wardrobe. She chose our most popular dress- a beautiful blue floral. Dad wore a soft blue shirt and then we swaddled Brooks in white.
I had the hardest time narrowing down my favorites from Brooks’ newborn session. You can feel the joy Mom and Dad have when looking at their family portraits and then Brooks’ solo baby photos could not have gone better. The way he curls his hands up by his face is just too precious!
