My clients often ask me for restaurant recommendations in Darien for after their session, so I thought I would just write a blog post about some of our favorite ones!
My studio is located a block from the “main drag” in Darien. We don’t have a town square, but most of the restaurants and shops are located along Post Road. We are blessed with a wonderful community of local small businesses and we love to support them!
If you are coming for a Newborn session, we will be finished around lunch time. We have so many great places to grab lunch in town! Also if you have older siblings to keep busy while you are getting your makeup done, Dad can easily take a short walk to get them a treat or some breakfast!
Browne and Co. has a lovely shop in the front and a restaurant in the back for sandwiches, soups, salads and pastries! They even have a small patio outside for enjoying lunch on a nice day!
Sono Baking Company is another favorite with sandwiches, soups, salads and pastries.
The Sugar Bowl is a Darien staple. It’s a greasy spoon diner with tons of options and is very kid friendly.
Neat Coffee is a really cool coffee shop that is on the Grove Street Plaza. I love to go grab coffee there especially when it is nice outside because of the lovely patio at the plaza.
If you are looking for dinner options or a more elevated lunch experience, here are some suggestions!
Ten Twenty Post is an upscale bistro. They have lots of seafood options, a great burger, steak and other options. They also have lots of options on the kids menu. They have great food and great service!
Bodega Taco Bar is one of our personal favorite eats in town because we LOVE tacos and margaritas! Their food is SO good. It can be a little loud at night, which is good for some and not so much others. My favorite dish is the enchiladas pollo!
The Goose is another absolute favorite of ours. It is an upscale American restaurant with amazing burgers, pasta, pizza, salads, and steak. My favorite dish is the Chicken Milanese salad and the Capellini Primavera. My kids love the bread and butter!
These are just a few of the wonderful Darien restaurants to choose from for a post photo session meal. I will highlight more restaurants next week and some shops to check out too!
